Tis’ the season for launch parties, all building up to this: The Wedding Edition Launch Party!
London’s coolest affianced girls and guys about town arrived in droves for the The Wedding Edition Launch Party to get a glimpse of London’s most iconic Penthouse at The Arts Club, Dover Street. Amidst jaw-dropping florals by Tattie Rose the air was scented by Jo Malone London and the free-flowing Perrier-Jouët champagne made for quite the wonderful luncheon.
Daisy Knatchbull, Hermione Underwood, Jemima Cadbury, Philippa Cadogan, Chantal Piper, Georgie Le Roux, Antoinette Lettieri, India Sehmi, Josh Smith, Lily Worcester and more friends of TWE. rocked up to make our shiny new digital magazine feel welcome.
The sun was shining on the Penthouse terrace and guests enjoyed the intimate house party vibes. Portia Freeman, TWE.’s drinks editor mixed delicious Monkey 47 Gin cocktails alongside the delicate Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé all served under the retractable roof.
The party’s heart thudded as guests chatted amongst the cascading, show-stopping autumnal blooms designed by Tattie Rose Flowers. The table was styled by Moriarty Events with little touches from Leeming Brothers and Duchess & Butler while ALR Music had DJ Charles set the tone with some chilled daytime beats.
The lunch menu was chosen by TWE.’s lifestyle editor, Alexandra Dudley, who choose mouth-wateringly delicious Applewood smoked salmon and Cured beef carpaccio with the Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé to start, followed by stone bass à la Provençale with chips (of course!) and the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2012 en magnum, the jewel of the house. And finally, for pudding: baked strawberry cheesecake with Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV en magnum (because by the magnum always tastes better). Mr Jonathan Simms (known better as Johnny Fizz) Perrier-Jouët’s Champagne Ambassador, introduced each course setting the scene with some romantic history from the Maison but left guests a very important pearl of wisdom: that like Coco Chanel (whose favorite champagne was Perrier-Jouët) you should drink champagne on two occasions: when you are in love, and when you are not. We will drink to that! set the tone with some chilled daytime beats.
