As the latest bridal fashion collections drop, we hosted our first reader event, at one of our favourite boutiques, The Mews Bridal in Notting Hill. Famed for its fashion-forward style and its French bridal focus, this was a one-off wedding dress showcase like no other.
The Mews Bridal have boutiques in London and Bristol, exclusively stocking a number of collections from leading French bridal couture designers. Including Rime Arodaky, Laure de Sagazan, Margaux Tardit, Caroline Takvorian, Donatelle Godart, Marie Laporte and Mademoiselle de Guise by designer Chloé Jaouën.
An intimate crowd of chic brides-to-be gathered at the trendy boutique just off Portobello Road, where the beats were blasting. Nyetimber was flowing, accompanied by delicious canapés, such as Goats cheese profiteroles and Salmon ceviche tacos, from Lettice catering. Diptyque candles flickered and scented the space with romantic notes, perfect for weddings.
Leading designer Rime Arodaky, flew in from Paris for the occasion. TWE’s Fashion Editor, Allesandra Frame, interviewed Rime on her latest collection previewed at the event. Guests learnt that it was inspired by the much-loved nineties, which is set to be making a big come back. Two beautiful models worked the room in Rime’s designs, showcasing the new looks.
Downstairs, the brides-to-be tried the latest products from Laura Mericer, renowned for creating the ultimate bridal glow and always giving a flawless, natural finish, alongside top London Salon, Clo & Flo who were styling the perfect ‘undone’ wave on our readers.
After an evening of celebrations, guests left with Mews Bridal totes full of beauty essentials from Laura Mercier, blow-dry vouchers fro Clo & Flo, Diptyque candles and exclusive wedding packages from Nyetimber, Lettice, Wedding Present Company and more.
