Why Go?
For couples in search of beachside luxury, sophisticated dining, and a world-class spa offering – all without needing to lift a finger – Beach Club at The Boca Raton checks all the boxes. It’s a polished playground of escapades and indulgences for honeymooners who delight in experiencing a little of everything.
Honeymoon Style
Open exclusively to club members and hotel guests, Beach Club at The Boca Raton offers a contemporary take on the resort experience, with curated options for newlyweds including private boat tours, sunset dinners on the beach, lavish spa offerings, and bespoke activities.
Expect all the hallmarks of an elevated beach escape – thoughtfully designed cabanas, inventive cocktails, and a lazy river for the more pool-inclined – alongside the sprawling variety of amenities and activities that define Boca Raton’s most coveted resort and members’ club.
Set The Scene
The Boca Raton resort comprises five distinct hotels, of which Beach Club tops the list for its sparkling new rooms, expansive ocean view, and stylish redesign in December 2024. It’s a coastal haven of utmost modernity (no beachy kitsch here), set apart as the only ‘beachside’ property, with the remainder of the resort situated on ‘harborside’: a five-minute boat ride across the intracoastal Lake Boca.
Honeymooners can experience the best of the resort at their leisure, with complimentary water taxi services whisking them away to sunrise yoga, breakfast by the pool, private tennis or pickleball lessons, or even some retail therapy at the resort’s string of harbourside boutiques. Beach Club staff anticipate guests’ every need, offering couples their coffee orders from the day before, and filling rooms with little surprises at every turn-down service.
The resort is only open to members and hotel guests, so you’ll be in the discerning company of ‘snowbirds’ escaping the Northeast’s winter, and well-heeled Boca Raton families throughout the day, but in the evenings and mornings, the place feels more serene.
Rooms
The 210 jewels in Beach Club’s crown are its plush, spanking new rooms that promise to satisfy even the pickiest of guests. Suffused mood lighting permeates, including in corridors, and rooms feature marble-clad bathtubs, cerused wood and refined coastal touches that cocoon honeymooners in comfort and silence, away from the poolside hubbub below. Design-forward elements – a hidden clothes rail, wireless charging station, and abundant storage for glassware and amenities – streamline the space for an uncluttered feel. Notably absent is a desk of any kind, helping guests leave the digital world behind as they curl up on coral-toned couches to watch the sunrise.
Book one of Beach Club’s 14 suites to unlock Suite Collection privileges across the resort, such as dedicated butler service, priority beach and pool bed reservations, and VIP experiences to further elevate your honeymoon. This also includes access to Top of the Tower, a penthouse lounge with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and complimentary snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Food & Drink
With 20 culinary destinations across the resort, even a longer honeymoon can be filled with delicious variety. Start your day with New York-style bagels at cult favourite Sadelle’s, enjoy a long lunch of summery salads and classic American burgers at Harbor House, and spend a romantic dinner savouring Greek mezze and fresh seafood at Marisol restaurant, a beloved resort mainstay.
After a day lounging in one of Beach Club’s colourful cabanas, dress up and descend from your suite for pre-dinner drinks at Living Room – this lobby bar feels more like a private members’ club, and is accented with sculptural seating in neutral tones. Sip on a Second Story Margarita, a zingy concoction of añejo tequila, passionfruit, and a poblano chile liqueur, named after the resort’s second-floor members-only lounge, and nibble on some short-rib empanadas to whet your appetite before your evening meal.
If you’re on the move between a spa morning and a golf afternoon, step into the secluded Cloister Courtyard for iced coffees, healthy smoothies, and granola parfaits to take with you on-the-go. There’s even a Moët Champagne vending machine for a touch of midday sparkle, if you’re so inclined.
The Story
The Boca Raton’s rich history extends back to 1926, when celebrated American architect Addison Mizner developed the original hotel in his signature Spanish and Mediterranean Revival style, which would later characterise the ambiance and aesthetic of South Florida. Since then, it has evolved in style and expanded in size, but elements of its architecture, including the grand facade of Cloister, still reflect Mizner’s iconic vision.
Family-friendly
The Boca Raton was named ‘Best Family Resort in Florida for Activities’ by Forbes and has so many fun options – open to all resort hotel guests – that every day heralds a new adventure. Alongside three pools, two waterslides and a 450-foot lazy river, the Harborside Pool Club has a new FlowRider wave simulator so kids can try boogie boarding and surfing. The Banyan Bunch kids’ club caters for ages 4-12 with heaps of activities including crafts, yoga and story times (do note that there is a daily fee for the club). Meanwhile, older kids aged 11-15 can hang out at The Break and play VR games, create a podcast or film a TikTok video. Plus, complimentary water taxis ferry you around the resort. Equally, couples seeking an escape from the littles can visit Onda, the resort’s newest sand-side restaurant that welcomes new culinary concepts and chefs when it opens each winter season. Expect fresh seafood plates, an unbeatable coconut butter for spreading over warm toasted bread, and imaginative desserts that capture the spirit of current Onda resident chef Adriano Venturini of Eden Roc Cap Cana hotel in the Dominican Republic.
Spa
The 50,000 square foot Spa Palmera, awarded five stars in 2023 and 2024 by Forbes Travel Guide, is a pampering oasis not to be missed. Fashioned in the style of Spain’s Alhambra palace, this opulent sanctuary is home to ritual baths, a private courtyard and spa pool, and intricately mosaiced treatment spaces. We’d recommend the signature hydrotherapy experience: start in the Himalayan salt room, plunge into an oversized soaking tub, experience the invigoration of the 50-jet Swiss shower, step into a water massage pool that hammers out any tight knots that remain and conclude with a glass of Champagne in the Jacuzzi – the best form of honeymoon hydration.
Eco-friendly
Several restaurants across the resort pride themselves on caught-that-morning seafood, with waiters even sharing the names of the skipper and fisherman responsible for the daily catch. Beachside food service combines disposable containers and washable plastic platters to minimise single-use waste. But beyond the refillable Swell water bottles in each hotel room and reusable steel bottles for on-the-go hydration offered on the resort’s water taxi, the resort admits there is still more to be done to improve its guest-facing sustainability efforts. That said, poolside staff are always happy to oblige if you request that they refill your reusable bottles instead of bringing over new plastic cups.
Location
Boca Raton lies between Palm Beach and Miami, with one of the highest elevations along Florida’s East Coast, facing the Atlantic Ocean. It’s just over an hour’s drive from Miami International Airport, making its year-round sunshine and refreshing waters effortlessly accessible, even from afar.
