The air was suffused with an aura of relaxed sophistication, setting the perfect tone for an afternoon of sustainability. Esteemed guests, included Fran Newman-Young, Chessie King, Onyi Mossi, Kelly Eastwood and other notable figures from the realms of fashion, content creation, entertainment and art, who gathered to celebrate the diamond brand in style.
The event was in partnership with SkyDiamond, pioneers in sustainable luxury, the event bore witness to the extraordinary fusion and creativity behind the brand, and showcased how SkyDiamond, crafts exquisite gems from the very air we breathe, embodying a vision of sustainable luxury that resonated with the ethos of the day.
After a special Champagne reception in the showstopping suite guests headed down to the grand entrance of the brand-new events space, adorned with verdant blooms by Jake, founder of Kuit Flowers. Florals welcomed guests with a touch of botanical charm, hinting at the exquisite experience that awaited inside. The hotel’s interiors, resplendent with carefully curated sustainably fallen pieces of wood, provided an elegant backdrop for the lunchtime festivities.
Kelly Eastwood, TWE’s Sustainability Editor, interviewed Madeleine Macey, new CEO of SkyDiamond on many hot, trending topics. The dynamic duo covered how SkyDiamonds differ from lab-grown diamonds (being far more sustainable and ethical), why they are a good financial investment and showcased the capsule collection of jewels which should be on everyone’s wishlist.
The pièce de résistance was the vegan menu, a culinary masterpiece that transcended expectations. From the delicate plant-based hors d’oeuvres to the delectable main courses, each dish was a celebration of sustainable, plant-powered gastronomy. The dinner was paired with exquisite selections of Perrier Jouet Champagne- complementing the vibrant flavors with finesse.
Under the deft hands of Charlotte, the visionary founder of La Fete, the table was transformed into an exquisite tableau. The table exuded an air of refined sustainability, adorned with meticulously sourced blooms from Kuit Flowers. Every detail, from the centerpieces to the place settings, resonated with the conscious choices woven into the fabric of the event.
