Wedding and events season is officially upon us, despite the weather not playing ball, and I always get excited about the fabulous wedding guest outfit moments. I love creating an outfit around the personality of a wedding. For example the approach to Chic London City vs country garden is totally different and matching the mood to your outfit is part of the fun for me. I love dressing a different part for each moment, getting to explore different styles and looks.
A wonderful part of my job as a brand strategist is having beautiful samples come across my office that fill me with inspiration for the season. I love to try on the pieces there and then and imagine where I might wear them to.
While I do not consider my self a print person I adore colour and love to indulge this during summer events season, mixing and matching bold colours together. I would make this fabulous red dress from Wiggy Kit stand out even more with a fully crystailzed bag from Marina Raphael that will have every magpie gravitating towards you. This would be my look for the British countryside wedding. Should there be a more formal British moment, Emilia Wickstead would have my vote.
Black is not a colour traditionally associated with weddings but a silky black number from Casa Raki x Candice Lake capsule with backless top and ladylike skirt would be my pick for a summer London wedding. For destination weddings like Ibiza, Paper London do joyful pieces and Casa Raki’s lemon yellow co-ord would be my choice. Both in breathable and natural linen.
For a summer suit with a difference, my go to would be from Destree. Everyone knows I love a bow and I would accessorise most looks with a maxi bow or headband from my capsule collection with Marzoline or Awon Golding.
