The story of Neve and Noor commenced in 2016 when Sophie immersed herself in the depths of a printing village on the outskirts of Jaipur, India. Sophie had spent over 10 years working in the world of interiors with a degree in architecture. From a young age, her inherent style and interest in fashion was always destined to evolve into a career. She had dreamt of creating her own prints which are inspired by a multitude of sources around the world, both past and present. And the raw authenticity of block printing in India captured Sophie’s heart from day one.
As a company, Neve and Noor prides itself on being a slow fashion brand, producing small runs to keep waste to a minimum. They produce in an ethical, responsible and traditional format. Sophie bases her foundation of each collection on natural fibres and is committed to moving further along to a fully sustainable future.
We love working in the fashion industry because…
Of the people. Firstly, our amazing clients who have been so supportive and loyal since day one. There is nothing more satisfying than getting sent beautiful messages by my clients and seeing women walking the streets in my designs. Secondly, our talented team who create all the magic behind the scenes. Since the beginning of my journey I have met so many incredible women with inspiring companies in all areas of design. It is wonderful to share stories and support other like minded brand owners with a mutual bond. I am grateful to all the women I have met who have supported and guided me.
Neve And Noor is best known for…
Our signature prints and day to night style. I believe in timeless elegance that can withstand all trends. We base all our designs and collections off versatile, style per wear and modern taken on vintage cottage core.
My biggest achievement to date is…
Growing my business whilst growing my family. My kids are everything to me and they come first. The juggle is real but I wouldn’t want it any other way. When driving past my office on the school run, my children say ‘look, Mummy’s office, Mummy’s office’ with such enthusiasm. I hope that being an entrepreneur and following my own passion will encourage them to follow their own dreams one day.
As the brand grows there are more and more pinch me moments. Another huge achievement when the brand was born was being featured on the front cover of Grazia magazine. The editor at the time, Natasha Pearlman, personally selected my first ever style, the Belle Gown for the front cover. We had literally just launched the website two weeks before, we were nobody. The brand has grown on pure organic growth and I am forever grateful for those special people.
Furthermore, having the opportunity to have my designs in the wardrobes of such inspiring women including the Princess of Wales, Princess Beatrice, Lisa Snowdon, Georgie Coleridge Cole and Alice Naylor-Leylnd. And of course our beautiful clients from all over the world. Having the opportunity to continuously dress them season after season is magical.
We’re inspired by…
Textiles, interiors, vintage design, architecture, renaissance art, travel and nature.
The current honeymoon wardrobe trends we’re loving are...
On my honeymoon in the Maldives after all the glam at the wedding I loved being able to throw on one of my beautiful cotton dresses for dinner without much thought. Teamed up with a pair of big earrings, a cute clutch and my trusty Oran sandals. Keeping it simple and chic. My favourite styles would have to be the Riva, Blakely and Lavinia, as beautifully modelled by Kendall.
Our favourite pieces from the collection for wedding guests are...
We have just launched a beautiful LUX modal satin fabric. This particular fabric is crease free, breathable and creates a stunning elevated look for wedding guests and event dressing. We have also had many bridesmaids and mother of the bride dresses purchased recently. It is so wonderful to be chosen especially for their big day. My favourite styles would have to be the Sophia, Petra and Elle Dresses.
The best person to follow on Instagram for big-day inspo is…
It’s not a person, but a company called Over the Moon. Set up by Alexandra Macion ex Vogue contributing Editor. I am literally obsessed with everything they curate. I wish it was available when I got married. We are so honoured to be one of their stockists, and we absolutely love working with them.
My favourite place in the world to skip the crowds is…
Escaping at least once a month to South Devon, 20 minutes inland from Salcombe, surrounded by fields with very noisy neighbours (sheep). It is where I spent most of my childhood at my grandparents house during the holidays and I hold such nostalgic and happy memories of pure family time there, the days without mobile phones and laptops hey. The contrast from my busy life in London allows me to recharge, it is incredibly therapeutic and good for my soul being surrounded by nature all around.
And finally, what’s next for Neve And Noor…
A lot, which is very exciting! The brand has grown massively in the last couple of years from a resort wear to ready to wear brand. We are introducing new methods of design and detailing whilst keeping our main ethos and integrity. Known as a summer brand we have just launched our first ever Autumn Winter Collection on Neve And Noor, Lost Devotion which shows the diversity of how the brand is expanding. It has been a total hit and finally our brand can be worn all year round.
