If you’re having a flower girl at your wedding, you want her to be as adorable as can be! Check out these photos for inspiration on flower girl outfits hand-selected by our Childrenswear & Lifestyle Editor, Tabitha Willett, mother to the best dressed three year old, Ottilie.
1. Little Bevan
Little Bevan specialises in only children’s luxury occasion wear, meaning they really know what’s up. One of the benefits of being a boutique brand implies that they can cater to bespoke needs, but their shoppable dresses start from £252, and ages range from 12 months to age 12. www.littlebevan.co.uk
2. Luca & Luca
The most constant brand in my daughter Ottilie’s wardrobe is Luca & Luca. Taking inspiration from the designer’s Spanish mother and aunt, their clothing is “elegant but not old fashioned”, as Angelica, Founder & Director, says. If I had a less formal wedding where I wanted the children to look put together but also comfortable, then I would choose Luca & Luca. The Cadenza Smocked Dress is my personal favourtie. lucaandluca.com
3. Amaia Kida
Amaia Kids have a variety of dress styles – some hand smocked, some vintage lace details and some duchess satin with a sash. With a 4-5 week lead time, clients can customise their dresses. Flower girl dresses range from £191 – £317 and start at age 2 going up to age 10. And I love the neck detail. www.amaiakids.co.uk
4. Annafie
Annafie specialises in hand smocked traditional childrenswear. They are total heirloom pieces that I will forever hold onto. They also have rompers as well as dresses, which for any younger, crawling members of the bridal party, is a game changer (little toddler knees + dresses = trips and tantrums). I recently chose their Blanche Dress for Ottilie as a flower girl. Outfits start from £61 – £68, and sizes range from age 3 months to 12 years. annafie.com
5. Pepa & co
Pepa & Co’s aptly named Flower Girl White Dress With Pink Silk Sash would likely be my personal choice for a flower girl should I be getting married. The ruffle collar, the short puffed sleeves, the built-in petticoats. It’s perfect. The sash is also interchangeable with pale pink, light blue and a subtle green also available. This dress is £310, and the sizes range from 12 months to 10 years. www.pepaandcompany.com
6. Bonpoint
When my daughter wears anything Bonpoint, she oozes a cool that I know I will just never possess! No fussy frills, sparkles, bells and whistles, just good quality, well made chic dresses. My personal choice would be this dark brown velvet Blossom Dress for a winter wedding. It’s not a colour you often see on children or at weddings, and I think there is something so wonderfully French about it. Priced at £417 and size ranges between 4 years to 12 years. C’est magnifique. www.bonpoint.com
7. La Coqueta
My love of children dressed in Spanish and Portuguese styles is heavily influenced by the brand La Coqueta. Think short dresses with bloomers, bolero cardigans, rompers and tights. Their boutique on Ledbury Street is a must-visit, so charming, and if that doesn’t win you over then following the founder Celia Muñoz on Instagram @lacoquetakids will. Baby sizing ranges from 3 months to 3 years, and the dress style ranging from 2 years to 10 years. www.lacoquetakids.com
